Hare

Fur is brownish grey on the back and white on the underside. In winter the coat is light grey. Ears have blackish brown edges; tail is black on top and white on the underside. Ears and tail are longer than those of the mountain hare.
- Habitat
In and at the edge of open landscapes, fields, meadows. Sleeps in a simple hollow scratched in the ground.

Trunk length 50-70 cm, tail length 7-13 cm, body weight 3-7 kg.
