The visitor center of Alutaguse National Park is located in village Kauksi which is with a long tradition of beach holidays in Ida-Viru County. The visitor center is like the southern gate of Alutaguse National Park, where before an adventurous trip, you can get acquainted with the values ​​and opportunities of visiting the national park. The visitor center complex consists of several buildings and in two of them it is possible to get acquainted with permanent exhibitions - "Treasures of Alutaguse National Park" and "Landscapes of Ida-Viru County."
Only a 300-meter walk from the visitor center through the coastal pine forest opens to the picturesque Lake Peipsi with its sunny sandy beach and continental dunes.

Wheelchair accessibility The ground floors of both buildings are wheelchair accessible. Inva WC is in the same buiding with the information point, a ramp.

Driving directionsDrive 47 km on Jõhvi–Tartu road, turn left at the Kauksi bus stop (the sign at the turn). Drive 600 m forward until you see the building of the Visitor Centre at the right side of the road.
