Kauksi beach forest campsite

The campsite with clean, "singing" sands is located in one of the most beautiful tourist areas on the northern shore of Lake Peipus.

LocationKauksi village, Iisaku municipality, on the shore of Lake Peipus. Object no. 15 on recreation area map.
Driving directionsDrive 47 km along Jõhvi–Tartu road, turn left at the Kauksi bus stop (sign to Visitor Centre of Alutaguse National park). Drive 800 m towards Lake Peipus up to the road turn. Keep on the road going straight ahead and drive through the gate; the campsite is to the right of the road. Please note that this is an area for public outdoor events; advance booking and prior consent of the managers of the recreation area is required to use it.
