Sopi forest hut

This is the earliest known forest keeper’s place in Saaremaa, dating from 1795, when Campenhausen prepared the first forest management plan for state forest and appointed Kiviste Andres as the forest keeper of Sopi forest. Around the hut there is old-growth forest with interesting erratic boulders, former anti-tank lines, old stone farm fence; the access road is built on brushwood.
