Lake Tündre campfire site
Valga County, Sakala Recreation Area
On the shore of the beautiful Lake Tündre you can spend more time than just a short break. The solid shelter protects against poor weather. The lake is rich in fish and in summer the water is convenient for swimming. To launch the boat, please go to the nearby Tündre Suurekivi campfire site. The lake is surrounded by forests where you can pick berries and mushrooms.

| Driving directions | On Valga–Uulu road at Ala turn towards Taagepera, drive 3 km and keep left at Taagepera bus station (sign “RMK Tündre lõkkekoht”). Follow the sign, drive 6.8 km and then turn right at the junction. After 150 m there is a sign to the left “RMK Tündre lõkkekoht”. Drive 200 m to the parking area. When coming along Valga–Uulu road from the direction of Pärnu, 0.5 km after the Valga County sign turn to the right towards Taagepera at the Taagepera tee bus stop and drive 4 km to the gates of the Taagepera Castle, where a sign directs to the right “RMK Tündre lõkkekoht”. Follow the signs for about 7 km. |
