Ilmatsalu cycling trail (7.5 km)

Half of the 7.5 km trail, which passes many campfire and recreation sites, runs on gravel forest roads and half of it on the natural riverside surface path, which may be difficult to pass in rainy weather and has a risk of flood during wet periods.

Parking facilitiesParking for 10 cars at the start of the trail in the parking area of Tenno campfire site.
AmenitiesThe trail starts from the parking area of Tenno campfire site and runs southwards to Ilmatsalu, from there along the bank of the Ilmatsalu River, forest rides and paths back to the Tenno campfire site. The trail is marked with signs. There is a 6 m high bird-watching tower, several campfire sites and a 25 m long arched bridge on the trail.
Camping facilities Tents can be pitched up at Tenno campfire site and at Lagle campfire site, which is a little off the track.

Driving directionsDrive 6 km from Tartu to Ilmatsalu, over the bridge of the artificial lake and take the first turning left. Drive 1.5 km on gravel road to Tenno campfire site. The marked cycling trail starts from the parking area.
