Kõrtsi-Tõramaa campfire site

It has been extremely dry in Estonia during spring and there is a standing forest fire warning. Making fire is allowed only on specially prepared campfire sites.
Kõrtsi- Tõramaa campfire site is located near the Visitor Centre. It is a good place for bigger group to have a picnic, camp or park a caravan.

AmenitiesFire ring with barbecue grill, shelter with tables and benches (for 36), firewood shelter, dry toilet, camping area. Wash- hand place and watering.
Camping facilities The maximum number of tents (for 4) allowed is 10.
Campfire site Fire ring with a grill.
Hiking options The Beaver trail starts near the campfire site. The campfire site is located on the RMK Hiking Route Oandu-Aegviidu-Ikla.
Winter accessibilityThe parking area and access roads are maintained. Firewood is provided at the campfire site. The Beaver trail is maintained.

LocationTipu village, Põhja-Sakala municipality, Viljandi County. Object no 19 on the national park map.
Driving directionsWhen coming from the direction of Tallinn–Pärnu–Tori, drive to Tori, turn onto the Võlli road that leads to the national park. Drive 6 km along the Jõesuu road to Jõesuu village and before driving into the village, turn right to Kõpu–Jõesuu road. From there it is 14.4 km to the Visitor Centre of the National Park and the campfire site.
When coming from the direction of Tartu or Viljandi, drive along Tartu–Viljandi–Pärnu road to Kõpu. After passing the cemetery, turn right onto Kõpu–Jõesuu road. From there it is 24 km to the campfire site and the Visitor Centre of the National Park.
