Laari forestry study trail (3,7 km)

Educational 3.7 km trail mainly on forest roads, which is suitable for both walkers and forest enthusiasts On the trail visitors can see different types of forest, learn about pine gene reserve forests and plus-trees (superior phenotypes). The trail is located near Kiidjärve railway stop.

LocationPõlva County, Laari forest district unit, to the south of Kiidjärve–Koorvere road. Object no 6 on the recreation area map.
Driving directionsDrive along Põlva–Reola road from Tartu towards Põlva. 10 km before Põlva turn left at the Koorvere junction towards Kiidjärve. Continue 2.5 km along Akste–Häätaru road (Road no. 18138) to the railway (level) crossing. Turn right onto the road running in parallel with the railway and drive about 500 m, between the houses, to the board at the start of the trail.
