Anastasia in an unforgettable journey

This bike trip was full of both pleasant impressions and frightening, interesting meetings and acquaintances, discoveries...

It was a bike trip where I discovered how beautiful and diverse Estonia is, how it changes depending on the region, the further south the more authentic, I especially liked the South of Estonia, there is some kind of different atmosphere there, I really liked the coniferous forests and yellowing cereal fields against a background of blue sky or thunderclouds.

I saw little badgers running along a dirt road near the Hundisaare camp, I blindly mistook them for little wild boars, and decided that the mother was somewhere nearby, and because I was next to her cubs, she would now appear and tear me apart, for her piglets, I got scared and prepared to climb onto the roof of the local toilet... having adjusted the focus of my vision, I realized that there was nothing to fear, I just laughed to myself)

There were 1 or 2 hot days, and the rest of the time I was haunted by thunderstorms and rains, from which I felt like I was constantly running away. Twice I got completely wet, and almost all of my equipment and clothes, which led to despair; raincoats did not save me. I had to throw out my sneakers on the 10th day, since they no longer dried out, but just went bad. A couple of times there were incomprehensible and dangerous incidents for a girl traveling alone in Kukemetsa and Paganamaa, everything turned out well.

Sometimes the trail markers disappeared completely for a long time, or were well hidden in tall grass, and I went in the wrong direction for several kilometers, I had to check the GPS on my phone and return to my trail.

During the 17-day trek there were two days off, in Leevi and Luhasoo.
I collected water in cafes, gas stations, stores, most often I bought 5 liters and took it with me.
In Luhasoo I drank raw water from the swamp. Once there was a global wash using a hermetic bag, at the Rava camp site. During the trip I washed once in the shower in Kiidjärve at the visitor center and in the river near Rava. Several times I encountered aggressive dogs running from the yard, not on a leash. I drove around some sections of the trail (Võrumaa, Põlvamaa) on asphalt; due to the abundance of sand on the trail, these places were painful to pass on a bicycle. There were few mosquitoes. I caught one tick on myself, which died on me, apparently from hunger, there was nothing left to take from me, since in the first three days of the hike I lost a lot of weight, so my clothes were all hanging off me =)
The local people I met were welcoming and friendly.

Just remember, temperatures at night in Estonia in the summer in places near swamps and reservoirs can drop to +5 with dampness and pierce you with cold.
