Valgesoo study trail (1,9 km)

There is no car access to the parking lot as there is the reconstruction work of the tower until June 2019. The car can be left at the beginning of the road (approx.150 m to the object on foot). Additional information +372 516 9845

The circular 1.9 km study trail goes around Valgesoo bog. On the trail you can see peninsulas (strips of land cutting into the bog), typical bog vegetation, old forest plantations, the so-called Baron's pine stand and the wood ant population at the edge of the forest.

Driving directionsDrive along Põlva–Reola road from Tartu towards Põlva. 10 km before Põlva turn left at the Koorvere junction towards Kiidjärve. Continue 7 km along Akste–Häätaru road (Road no. 18138) and turn right onto the forest road at Valgesoo sign. Continue 200 m to the parking area. The study trail starts at the information board.
