Narva jõe campfire site

Narva jõe (Narva river) campfire site  is located at the intersection of the picturesque Poruni and Narva rivers, on the edge of the Puhatu bog. Here you can meet many rare species of animals and plants, for example eagles belonging to the first protection category.

Location Alutaguse municipality, Ida-Viru County
Driving directionsAt the 36th km of the Jõhvi-Vasknarva road, turn left (sign "Porun hiking trail"). From there, drive 12 km to the border guards' cordon, turn left (sign on crossroad) and drive straight for 4 km to the barrier, to the left of which is a parking lot where you can leave your car. The campfire site is on the Narva river side of the Poruni hiking trail
NB! For those coming from the direction of Narva, Google Maps offers the wrong road through Auvere, which leads to a dead end. The only access is from the Jõhvi–Vasknarva road.
