Visitor restrictions in Peipsiveere Nature Reserve
The reserve is a Natura 2000* bird and habitat site, where natural values are the most important consideration. It is also a Ramsar and IBA area. In particular, the Protection Rules of Peipsiveere Nature Reserve and restrictions imposed by Nature Conservation Act must be observed here.Natura 2000 is a Europe-wide network of protected areas, whose purpose is to guarantee the protection of rare or endangered bird, animal and plant species and their natural habitats.
- Campfires can be made and tent camping is allowed only in designated and signposted places.
- To organise a public event with more than 50 participants, a written consent is required from the manager of the nature reserve (Environmental Board).
- Dogs must be kept on a lead in the nature reserve.
- Please take any waste with you when you leave.
It is important to observe restrictions imposed on fishing.
